Memory Candles

If you want to remember a departed human or animal loved one, the simple act of making a Memory Candle can bring great relief and healing. You can also do this to celebrate someone living, or to mark an important event like a graduation. Either way, the Memory Candle is a beautiful way to honor someone important to you.

This lovely memorial candle makes a treasured and long-lasting gift. Your photo is duplicated on to a custom candle decal - a very thin transparent transfer. Names and Dates are imprinted along with a short message. DARK ink shows up best.

All candles are Customized and Personalized per your request. Text can vary in script style and color, choice is yours. Images are printed on an inkjet printer an embedded on the outside surface of the candle.

Due to the process we use to customize and personalize our candles, metallic finishes and white/ivory images or text cannot be used.

Please advise what color tone you would like the photo in: color, black & white or sepia.

Please be sure to email me with any questions regarding the personalization of your candle.

Let us take the stress out of your gift giving with all of our custom ideas.

Its Been A While

I have been in St. Lucia which seems like forever so I have not had time to update my blog. For those of you that contacted me I do apologize for the delays in my responses.

I had the opportunity of designing programs and menus for my co-worker's sister. The wedding took place at the Mayfair hotel in Coconut Grove. The place was AMAZING. I wish I knew about this place when I was planning my wedding. At the last minute they asked me to be the day of wedding coordinator.

She had 300 guests. It was a lot of work but fun. Now I see what my DOC went through ;)

Here are some of the pictures I took of the wedding

Policies & Procedures

Payment Policy:
All payments are made via PayPal. If for any reason you wish to not pay your invoice through PayPal, please contact us through our feedback page for the procedure and policy on other payment options.Once an order is placed, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that the invoice from PayPal has been paid in a timely manner. If an invoice remains open for more than 10 business days, the order and the invoice will be cancelled at the discretion of Paper Passions. If the notice to the customer has been sent regarding the cancellation of the order/invoice and the customer changes his or her mind, the customer must complete the order form again and start the process from the beginning.

Custom Monograms:
All monograms on our site are as is. Requested changes to any monograms posted will be considered rework (please see the section on rework for additional information). There is a different process that will be followed for custom work. The custom process will begin with a requested theme or style from the customer that is not on the monogram page or the works in progress page. Five monograms will be created in the customer’s requested theme/style and posted on our works in progress page. The customer will have the opportunity to select ONE of the five monograms for purchase price of $60. The one monogram selected will be sent in both JPEG and PDF format. Additional custom monograms may be purchased for a fee of $25 per monogram and again you will receive it in both PDF and high resolution JPEG format. Free rework (see our policy below on rework) on custom monograms will not be issued once the final monogram has been sent to the customer. All rework after the final monogram has been sent to the customer will incur a $3 fee per monogram per change.

Monograms:
Customers have been given the opportunity to select 5 monograms on the order form. If the customer does not select 5 monograms, the customer consents that Paper Passions may create additional monograms based on the few that were selected. New monograms will not be created if the customer is not satisfied with the monograms that were selected by our designers.Once a selection has been made for the format of the monograms, other formats will not be available. If additional formats are requested, there will be a charge based on the file type that has been requested. Not all initials will work with each monogram style and although every attempt will be made to give the customer exactly what was ordered, font styles and monogram layout may be revised to better suit the letters in the customer’s monogram at the discretion of the designer.

Monogram Etiquette:
Proper monogram etiquette states that the married monogram should not be used on anything prior to the ceremony. If the customer wishes to follow the rule of etiquette, it is the customer’s responsibility to select monograms that follow this rule. If the appropriate selections are not made and the customer wishes to have them reworked to follow etiquette at a later date, the customer will need to follow our rework policy as stated below.

Monogram Rework:
Rework consists of recoloring and resizing only. The actual monogram design cannot be modified (such as changing fonts, repositioning words, removing or adding lines, boxes, circles, etc.) and will not be considered rework under any circumstances. Any requests to alter any of the above mentioned items will incur a $3 fee per monogram per change. Rework on any 2 monograms is available at no charge up to 2 months from the date of placing the order. Changes requested after the 2 month time frame will incur a fee of $3 per monogram per change. Any errors made by the designer will be corrected at no charge.

Invitations, accessories and stationery price quotes:
All price quotes for invitations and accessories (including stationery such as thank you notes) that have been provided to the customer will remain on file for 4 weeks. If an invoice has not been created and sent at the customer’s request within those 4 weeks, new pricing information will have to be generated for that customer. All prices are subject to change without notice. Paper Passions utilizes outside vendors for printing processes and have to comply with pricing changes that are provided to us.

Invitations, Accessories, Save the Dates, Magnets, Stationery and other items:
The design fee (which is paid first), acts as the customer’s contract for our design services. The design fee will allow you up to 10 designs/revisions. Additional designs beyond the initial 10 designs/revisions will be an extra $5 per revision. Because of the time it takes to create each individual design, the customer’s payment for the designs will not be refunded if the decision is made to not use our services. We will gather information from the customer either by email or by phone call to obtain the details needed to create the perfect designs. Please allow at least 4-6 weeks for the designing process and at least 3 weeks for the printing/assembly process. When design proofs are posted on our works in progress page or sent to the customer via email, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to proofread and verify the accuracy of the information. If the customer is unable to read the text on the design due to sizing issues, it is the responsibility of the customer to request an enlarged proof for review. Paper Passions and its designers will not be responsible for any errors. If the designs have already gone to print and errors are found, Paper Passions will not be responsible for paying for new corrected prints. All additional costs associated with reprinting will be the sole responsibility of the customer and not Paper Passions.

Photographs:
All photographs must be sent to Paper Passions in a high resolution digital format (minimum 300dpi) or by mail. Any photos sent to Paper Passions will not be returned to the customer.Paper Passions reserves the right to reject any photo which will not print in a clear manner. If the customer chooses to move forward with printing, knowing that the photo may not print clear enough, Paper Passions will not be responsible for reprinting. Refunds will not be issued should the photo image not be the quality desired.

Color Variation:
Please take note that every color monitor is not the same. Colors will vary slightly with each monitor. Although every effort will be made to ensure that the customer receives items in the exact colors that appear online, there will always be a slight variation when the items are printed. Providing us with specific color swatches of fabric or something of the like will greatly increase the chance of exact color matching. THIS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Any color swatches sent to us will not be returned. If a printed sample is requested, the customer will be responsible to pay shipping costs as well as the fee associated with the printing of the sample. If samples are not purchased or swatches are not sent and the customer is not satisfied with the color of the product once it has been received, Paper Passions will not be responsible for the cost of reprinting or shipping.

Printing of Invitations, Accessories Save the Dates, Magnets, Stationery and other items:
Paper Passions utilizes outside vendors for a variety of printing purposes. Because we use different vendors for different items, we can not guarantee that colors will match exactly between items. For instance, a different printing method is used to print the magnets. If you placed an order for magnets and note cards, THERE WILL BE COLOR DIFFERENCES. Paper Passions will make every attempt to match the colors between items as close as possible, but please make note that they will not be perfect matches. We will not be responsible for printing or reprinting of items. We design all of our items in Pantone colors and the color translation between printing methods varies. On the same note, when placing an order for invitations or accessories we ask that you place an order for at least 10% more than you actually need. In the event that you need additional items printed after your items have already been printed, please note that the colors may or may not match exactly as the original prints you have received. While every attempt will be made to ensure that the colors do match, color outputs may vary with the second attempt at printing. We highly recommend taking this into account when placing your order. Paper Passions will not be responsible for reprinting items if there is color variation.

Refunds:
No refunds under any circumstances shall be granted to the customer once designs have gone to print.

HERE ARE A FEW THAT I HAVE DONE

If you don’t see what you’re looking for here, or you have something specific in mind, I can also do completely custom designs for you. Just send me a email.

Out of the Shower and onto the Screen...

Well - long overdue this is the second blog post for me! Don't get me wrong - I have been writing on message boards for at least a two years now - just doing it in my head (mostly in the shower or driving on the express way, stuck in Miami traffic of course!) and never actually quite finding the time to get to making it official to post on a blog. I mean how do I do it? Where do I start?

I decided to create this blog while I'm waiting to to get a website started...

It is my hope to share random tips, trends, ideas, inspirations, favorite things/places/people/sites etc. mostly related to the wedding & special event industry with whoever might be interested!! And last but not least, MY work; what Paper Passions is all about.

Stay tuned along the way - who knows what will happen!

Smiles :)

Jamala

"The Future Belongs to Those Who Believe in the Beauty of Their Dreams..."

Paper Passions…a unique and innovative experience with stationery of all kinds! My name is Jamala Francois and I am a wedding consultant and OBSESSED with paper. I am most importantly a wife and mother and could not do any of what I do without the endless support of my amazing husband Marcelin and two incredible daughters, Zaria & Zaniya.

I understand that brides want everything at their wedding to have a personal touch but in most cases it’s hard to find time to dedicate to all those do-it-yourself projects. That’s where I come in. My primary mission is to create those special, personalized details that your guests will always remember.

At Paper Passions I strive to do all that I can to make the most special day of your life as beautiful as you’ve always dreamed. I believe that personalized details are like the icing on a cake… and I have lots of flavors.
